ABOUT US

Flagstaff Kids Connection Daycare was born out of a need for more childcare options in the Flagstaff area.  It began with a group of hard working volunteers with a dream in 2014, and the daycare opened it's doors in September of 2016. The daycare became accredited in October 2018, “which will give parents even more peace of mind that their children are receiving optimal childcare.”

We have strong community connections and love to explore the community often with the children.  For example, we visit the Family Resource Centre (Indoor Playground) every month, have field trips to the Co-op and the Killam Public Library. We also utilize community resources for our programming, such as Gauge Yoga, local dance and nature groups.

Our facility is located in the basement of the Killam Pentecostal Tabernacle.  We are very grateful for our partnership here.  We also have an outdoor space for the children with outdoor toys and a sandbox.  We have plans to expand the outdoor area with more exciting things for the children to explore!

Flagstaff Kids Connection Daycare was a recipient of the Early Learning and Child Care Grant  (ELCC), an Alberta Government Pilot-Program,  in May of 2018.  We are currently able to offer $25 per day childcare because of this grant.
